David Richins | The Richins Homes Team | Douglas County Colorado Community News

In an article today in the Denver Post it was noted by the author and the AP that Denver, Colorado’s real estate market was not hit as much as the rest of the nation.

Prices dropped 1.1 percent in Denver from October to November. That was the smallest month-over- month decline among the cities measured by the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller index.

Compared with November 2007, Denver home prices were down 4.3 percent. Only Dallas, with a 3.3 percent drop, saw a smaller decline.

This is great news for the local markets especially sellers. It is showing that the market is stabalizing and that the sellers in the Denver market are able to negotiate a fair price for there property. That is not to say that there are not still some amazing deals out there but that the amount of oppurtunity for a buyer not on the buying train is getting less and less.
